As a Security Officer New York Licensed Patrol Driver in Syracuse, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to location protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout hospital buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to control access, observe activity, and support a professional environment within the healthcare location.
- Assist with security-related requests such as visitor guidance, patient assistance, escort support, and/or coordination with staff during routine and emergency situations.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
- A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
