Job Description

As a Security Officer New York Licensed Patrol Driver in Syracuse, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This driving post offers the opportunity to support patients, visitors, and staff through strong communication and customer service while bringing agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to location protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout hospital buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to control access, observe activity, and support a professional environment within the healthcare location.
• Assist with security-related requests such as visitor guidance, patient assistance, escort support, and/or coordination with staff during routine and emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
