Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Shift in Chesapeake, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related protocols for a technology and communications location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with post instructions, helping to support authorized entry and accurate documentation of security-related events.
• Complete routine reports and shift activity logs, and relay observations, incidents, and/or concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
