Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Ambassador in Salt Lake City, UT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In a role shaped by teamwork, integrity, and a caring culture, you will support daily operations with an agile, reliable, and innovative approach.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, operational concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, parking areas, trailer yards, dock doors, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor access points and verify entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site-specific protocols.
• Report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations observed during patrols and assist with follow-up actions according to post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
