Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Patrol Monitor in Redmond, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and telecom location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver strong customer service and communication. In this unarmed role, you will support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach while using your experience to respond to daily site needs with agility and reliability.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and other security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help support authorized access, observe site activity, and report maintenance, life protection, and/or policy-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Support site operations by completing incident reports, shift activity logs, and other assigned records, while following Allied Universal standards and location-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
