We’re drawn to people who bring unique perspectives, passion, and expertise to help us advance the financial security and well-being of our customers, transform our growing business, and drive positive change in the communities where we live and work.
When we invest in you, and you invest in us, great things happen.
Become part of a group that empowers skilled legal experts to succeed and make important impacts. In the position of Associate Legal Counsel, you will offer strategic legal guidance spanning the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions. Your work will support the efficient operation of our asset management business while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. If you are motivated, commercially minded, and eager to progress your career, this role provides an environment to thrive in a high-performing team that values your knowledge and dedication.
What You'll Do
- Provide legal services to the asset management business across APAC and the Middle East. Tasks include drafting and reviewing agreements, preparing legal memoranda, supporting fund initiatives, and managing disputes such as basic litigation, employment challenges, investor complaints, and other legal assignments.
- Support legal and regulatory work relating to SFC-authorised funds and MPF schemes, including fund establishment, product improvements (e.g., updates to investment objectives or strategies), regulatory filings, marketing approvals, and ongoing compliance obligations.
- Handle company secretarial responsibilities, including preparing board resolutions, meeting agendas, and minutes for annual general meetings and board meetings across the Company and its affiliated entities.
- Perform legal research and analyze applicable laws and regulations in APAC and the Middle East. Prepare briefing notes and assess their effect on the Company’s operations and products.
- Provide legal, administrative, and project assistance to the broader Legal team, and contribute to ad hoc assignments and special projects as needed.
