The Sales Support Specialist is a proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills and a passion for customer service. This role supports the Field Sales Team and contributes to a collaborative work environment built on trust, accountability, and professionalism. Success in this role requires initiative, adaptability, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The Sales Support Specialist demonstrates ownership of tasks and works cross-functionally to drive alignment between multiple departments. An ideal candidate understands the impact of both large and small responsibilities on the overall customer experience.

This role may report to either Montreal, CA or Flanders, NJ.

Responsibilities

  • Support a dedicated sales region, communicating professionally in French and English with the Field Sales Team, Logistics Department and Retail Partners to deliver a high-quality customer experience.
  • Support and educate Field Sales on processes, tools, and self-service resources.
  • Coordinate with Logistics and Supply Chain teams to manage delivery delays, tracking delays across all distribution centers and providing timely communication to Retail Partners.
  • Support and educate retailers regarding Field Marketing options and resources available to them.
  • Create sales orders submitted by the Field Sales Team in an SAP Enterprise environment.
  • Investigate and resolve customer inquiries and complaints, escalating when appropriate.
  • Expert knowledge with company policies and marketing programs with regards to; promotions, new product rollouts, market tests, field sales processes and systems, credit & returns, and logistics.
  • Understand the Benjamin Moore product portfolio or know who to contact for assistance with related items.
  • Partner cross-functionally with other departments to ensure alignment with procedures and compliance standards.
  • Develop and maintain documentation to support consistent service across all sales regions.
  • Ensure professionalism in all communications, aiming to deliver exceptional customer experiences through both written and verbal interactions.
  • Manage time and priorities effectively to meet business needs and deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of customer contact center experience is preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English preferred.
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks.
  • Good organizational skills; detail oriented; self-starter
  • Excellent verbal, written and telephone communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows, MS Office Suite and SAP required.
  • Understanding of reporting tools and how to analyze them.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task various technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work occasional overtime or holidays is required.
