Food Service Worker/Cornerstone Kitchen

OVERVIEW

JOB TITLE: Food Service Worker LOCATION(S): Minneapolis PAY RATE: $16.50HOURS: TBD

JOB SUMMARY

The University of St. Thomas’ Dining Services provides meals for students, faculty, and staff, as well as community members, and other visitors to our campuses.Dining Services Residential and Retail Dining offers flexible work schedules (mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends) at convenient on-campus locations. The student Food Service Worker position works directly with customers in the residential dining halls, retail locations, and at catering events.This posting is for the Minneapolis Campus . We are looking for student workers, Monday through Friday, to work our breakfast and lunch services at Cornerstone Kitchen, as well as catering events. Catering events have the potential for evening and weekend hours as well.Applicants for these positions are recommended to have some food service experience, but it is not a requirement. If you have a will to learn, a positive attitude, and a good work ethic – then we would be happy to have you join our Dining Services team!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

This FSW position will cross-train in many of the areas throughout the operation. Duties will include, but not limited too -Food prep/serviceCashierDishwasherUtility and other cleaning responsibilitiesCatering eventsCandidates that complete the availability portion of the application will be prioritized. Starting Wage - $15.97

QUALIFICATIONS

• Training is provided - no previous experience required.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for student employment, St. Thomas students must be degree seeking at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
