What you'll do

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a blend of back and front end experience to join our Platform and Integrations team, to help us build and scale the next generation of the platform and customer facing features. As a senior member of the team, you will help drive the architecture and development of all the services to build an innovative integration solution. You will work with your team to build an outstanding software organization that is responsible for delivering SaaS products that meet the needs of our wide range of customers and their workflows. You are results-driven, believe in winning together, and always looking for continuous improvement. Our team focuses on distributed decision making that rewards ownership, clarity, and partnership.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Engineering.

Responsibility

•

Be responsible for delivering products that delight customers while running the health of the code base through continuous refactoring and management of technical debt

•

Work with your team to deliver software standard processes, automated test strategies, and flatten the cost of change for our software products and services

•

Think about how to tackle problems in scale and build fault tolerant systems

•

Develop high-quality, ship-ready code that is covered by a full test suite

•

Design and develop a web-scale service that follows microservice principles and is deployed using containerized cloud technologies to allow customer administrators the ability to run their contract assets

•

Work with Product Management and other developers to understand and translate marketing requirements into design requirements and provide estimates for development

•

Work as part of a cross-site development team to drive design, implementation, testing and release of products

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

•

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field

•

8+ years of hands-on development experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems.

•

Strong proficiency working with TypeScript, Node.js, and SQL databases

•

Experience with at least one modern client-side JavaScript framework such as React (preferred), Angular, or similar

Preferred

•

Experience designing microservice architectures and RESTful web services

•

Proven track record of shipping highly available, scalable services on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.)

•

Deep understanding of the entire software development lifecycle, including git version control, CI/CD build processes, testing, and release management

•

Familiarity with Agile and Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies

•

Ability and desire to move across technology stacks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

•

A strong passion for learning new technologies and maintaining highly available systems
