Job description

Company Description

Within Publicis Groupe’s Intelligent Creativity business, we specialize in bringing creative ideas to life, and to consumers. By combining 100 years of craft excellence with 6,000 experts across 52 locations of the world’s biggest studio network, we leverage the industry’s richest data, through the power of agentic AI, to radically redefine content production with Intelligent Content. We intuitively deliver this through Marcel Make, the world’s first Intelligent Content agent. The result? Predictively performing content that unlocks business growth in unprecedented ways. No more guesswork. No more waste. Just content that works, working a lot harder.

Job Description

As an AI Artist, you will contribute to concepting, exploration, and production of AI driven video, VFX, and motion graphics as well as collaborate across disciplines and iterate quickly in an agile Post Advertising environment.

Here's what’s required, at every level

  • Flexibility. We’re a new department and a new offering. We want to be different, from our model to the way we think about content. But we’re still building the proposition—and we’ll often have to roll up our sleeves and figure it out together.
  • A start-up mindset. While we live in the Publicis Groupe ecosystem, we’re also forging a new path. That means getting scrappy and inventive.
  • Experience (or interest in) hybrid roles. We don’t use a traditional agency model with concrete roles for account, strategy and creative. Instead, our job descriptions are intentionally blurred, encompassing a combination of elements that could include strategy, ideation, execution, writing, creating, and managing client relationships. We believe that everyone has a range of abilities and ideas and we try to build roles to match the interests and talents of our team members.
  • Curiosity. About content. About technology. About how they can come together. We don’t expect you to know it all now, but we hope you want to learn.
  • Team mentality. The way we succeed as a new department is by working together, having each other’s back, collaborating, and communicating—and also by having fun.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to concept art, boards, animatics, and exploratory comps using AI tools.
  • Assist dataset curation and model fine‑tuning under senior guidance.
  • Build clean ComfyUI/Runway project graphs; maintain prompts, seeds, presets.
  • Iterate quickly on look dev; hand off to comp/finishing with tidy source packages.
  • Document learnings; propose small workflow improvements.
  • Research, test, and implement generative AI tools and workflows for video, image, and motion production
  • Prototype and document AI‑enabled production pipelines to support internal teams and client work
  • Collaborate with editors, creatives, and producers to integrate new tools into active projects
  • Organize and standardize workflows to improve efficiency and creative flexibility
  • Create internal training materials and knowledge‑sharing resources
  • Support R&D initiatives focused on emerging platforms, real‑time systems, and creative technology

Other duties, as required and assigned

How to Thrive

  • Stay curious and proactive about rapidly evolving AI and creative tech landscapes
  • Balance experimentation with production realities and deadlines
  • Translate abstract ideas into practical, repeatable workflows
  • Collaborate generously across disciplines and seniority levels
  • Embrace iteration, testing, and learning as core parts of the job
  • Raise your hand. Things can move pretty fast around here. Raising your hand illustrates your willingness to learn and grow. Stay engaged, find ways to extend your contribution to the team, and approach every moment with an eagerness to learn and grow
  • Be curious and brave. Curiosity is the foundation of all great thinkers. You should be both a sponge and an influencer on your team - asking questions, seeking and sharing interesting information, and being brave enough to challenge yourself to learn what you don’t know
  • Be proactive. You are at the point that you don’t need to wait to be told what to do, you should now be taking personal responsibility for multi-stage projects. Identifying resources needed and being accountable for delivering results
  • Manage up. While this role will provide some opportunity to work more independently and take ownership of projects, use your manager as a sounding board. This means knowing when to elevate a problem, asking for guidance, getting a second set of eyes on something, but always coming to the table with a proposed solution
  • Mentor the next generation. As an AI Artist, you have a fresh perspective on what it takes to make the next leap in your career. Seek out the Associate Artists on the team and be their sounding board, as you were in their shoes not too long ago!

Qualifications

  • Video generation: VEO3 (or equivalent), Runway Gen‑3, Pika, Luma, Flux; motion/control features (masking, inpainting, keyframe guidance).
  • Image generation: Firefly, Midjourney, SDXL; upscalers, denoisers, texture synthesis.
  • Traditional DCC/VFX: After Effects (core), Cinema4D (MoGraph basics), Nuke (intro‑to‑mid comp), Photoshop; exposure to Flame and Maya preferred.
  • Production basics: Color space awareness (sRGB/Rec.709/ACES), codecs, frame rates, aspect ratios, plate management, versioning discipline.
  • Experience in motion/VFX/animation; portfolio showing creative experimentation and solid craft.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new AI tools and follow pipeline conventions.
  • Strong aesthetic sense; attention to detail in comp, edges, grain, and integration.
  • Team‑oriented communicator; organized project files and notes.
  • Experience with compositing and photo editing/manipulation
  • Curiosity-driven mindset with a desire to explore the future of creative production.
