Summary
Senior Compliance Specialist
The Senior Compliance Specialist serves as a key contributor within the Employee Relations and Compliance function, responsible for managing and mitigating organizational risk associated with wage and hour claims, discrimination charges, and regulatory agency inquiries. This role leads end to end strategy, assessment, and response to complex claims across federal, state, and local jurisdictions while applying advanced knowledge of employment law and regulatory requirements to ensure accurate and defensible outcomes.
This position partners closely with legal, HR, payroll, and systems teams to investigate claims, validate employment practices, and develop response strategies that balance legal exposure and business needs. The role also identifies trends and systemic risks, driving process improvements and strengthening compliance frameworks to support a proactive, risk aware culture across the organization.

Responsibilities
•
Lead end to end management of complex wage and hour claims including investigation, risk assessment, and development of defensible responses across multiple jurisdictions
•
Manage discrimination, harassment, and retaliation charges by evaluating allegations, developing response strategies, and preparing position statements in partnership with legal and HR stakeholders
•
Respond to follow up requests from regulatory agencies by analyzing requests and developing consistent and accurate responses aligned to overall case strategy
•
Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies to manage communications, timelines, and documentation requirements
•
Represent the organization in mediations, hearings, and claim related proceedings while supporting resolution strategies
•
Analyze claims data to identify trends, risks, and systemic issues and provide recommendations to improve compliance and reduce risk exposure
•
Drive process improvements across compliance and response management workflows while maintaining audit ready documentation and governance standards
Qualifications
•
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (Human resources or related field preferred)
•
Experience Requirements: 6–8 years experience in relevant field (Employee relations, compliance, or workplace investigations experience preferred)
•
Travel requirement: No travel requirements
Supervisor Responsibility
•
Direct Reports: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports
•
Indirect Reports: Does not have direct reports, but may delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Environmental & Physical Requirements
Office / Sedentary Requirements: Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically, requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may require the ability to lift up to 10lbs.
