Kullt is a vibrant restaurant in the heart of Oslo, known for quality food, a lively atmosphere, and memorable guest experiences. We are now looking for an experienced and hands-on Head Chef who wants to lead our kitchen, develop the team, and ensure every service delivers the high standards our guests expect. About the Role
As Head Chef, you will have overall responsibility for the daily kitchen operation. You will lead by example, working alongside your team while ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency throughout every service. You will work closely with the General Manager, Restaurant Manager and the rest of the leadership team to further develop Kullt's culinary offering and create an outstanding workplace where people enjoy coming to work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the kitchen team in daily operations.
- Ensure consistently high food quality and presentation.
- Plan production and maintain efficient kitchen routines.
- Recruit, train, and develop chefs and kitchen staff.
- Manage staffing schedules and daily workflow.
- Monitor food cost, purchasing, inventory, and waste control.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Contribute to menu development and continuous improvement of the kitchen operation.
- Work actively in service and maintain high standards during busy periods. We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Has previous experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef with leadership responsibilities.
- Having experience at a grill restaurant is a big plus.
- Is passionate about food, quality, and delivering great guest experiences.
- Thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Leads with a positive attitude and enjoys developing people.
- Is organized, reliable, and solution-oriented.
- Has good financial understanding of food cost and kitchen performance.
- Speaks English fluently. Norwegian is an advantage but not required. What We Offer
