As a Security Officer Texas Armed Driver Patrol in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation and contacting law enforcement or emergency personnel when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, observe customer and staff activity for security-related concerns, and document incidents, observations, and/or policy violations according to site requirements.
- Support asset protection and loss prevention efforts by addressing trespassing, disorderly conduct, and/or suspicious behavior while following post orders and use of force guidelines.
Minimum Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
