As a Security Officer Dedicated Patrol Guard in Atlanta, GA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a smooth daily operation. What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter points, helping to identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
- Monitor the movement of people, vehicles, and/or deliveries at entry and exit points, helping to verify authorized access and following post procedures for visitor, vendor, and shipment activity.
- Support loss prevention and operational continuity efforts by observing for damaged property, open doors, unsecured areas, and/or other issues that could impact the location, then communicating findings according to post orders.
Minimum Requirements
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
