Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) - Dementia & Memory Care

Location: Keene, NH Employment Type: Full-Time | Part-Time | Flexible Scheduling

Interim HealthCare is seeking experienced and compassionate Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs) who are passionate about providing exceptional care to older adults with memory loss and cognitive impairment. If you thrive on building meaningful connections, supporting independence, and bringing comfort to patients and their families, we'd love to meet you.

As a valued member of our care team, you will

  • Provide compassionate, person-centered care to individuals living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility
  • Use patience, empathy, and effective communication techniques to reduce anxiety and support positive behaviors
  • Recognize changes in physical, emotional, and cognitive condition and communicate observations promptly to the nursing team
  • Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, positioning, and fall prevention
  • Support meaningful engagement and encourage independence whenever possible
  • Build trusting relationships with patients and provide reassurance during moments of confusion or distress
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
  • Follow individualized care plans while preserving each patient's dignity, preferences, and quality of life
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards

Required

  • Current New Hampshire Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification

Preferred

  • Experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia
  • Memory care, long-term care, home care, hospice, or assisted living experience
  • Knowledge of person-centered dementia care practices and de-escalation techniques
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team
  • Reliable transportation and scheduling flexibility
