Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Graduate to join our Operational Excellence team in Aberdeen, beginning September 2022.
Supply Chain in Wood encompasses subcontracts, procurement, expediting, materials management and logistics. We ensure that goods and services arrive at our worksites on time and at great value for our customers. This role aims to provide a graduate with exposure to all supply chain areas, as well as to work with leadership to support new initiatives within the Supply Chain function and supply chain reporting.
This role will spend some time supporting live projects within the business and some time working with leadership on central initiatives.
Key accountabilities
- Responsible for the end-to-end sourcing process of any procurement/subcontracts activity assigned to them, including but not limited to: • Requesting and evaluating quotes from suppliers on basis of price and delivery and working with technical functions to ensure that quotes received meet specification• Carry out price negotiations with suppliers to achieve demonstrable price reductions and capturing all internal and external in year savings targets as per business plan • Raising Purchase Orders in system• Expedite orders for delivery, including creation of expediting reports• Support subcontracts team with raising and administering subcontracts.• Assist with Supplier performance reviews and ongoing management ensuring corrective actions are taken where required. • Production of shipping documents for goods movements • Ensures all Supply Chain activities are carried out in accordance with the project execution plan/schedule and/or contracting strategy and in line with project processes and procedures.• Supporting leadership in deployment, communication and reporting of new initiatives, including new processes and system updates• Creating, updating and managing output from Supply Chain reports for project and region, using supply chain systems, excel and power BI.• Supporting leadership in developing presentations and communications• Carry out all activity in accordance with the Wood Supply Chain Code of Conduct. • Promote safe working practices and demonstrate safety commitment. • Understands and lives Woods vision, values and behaviours. • Understands and works to the Wood Financial Management Framework • All other tasks as reasonably requested by line management

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
•
Educated to ISCED Level 6 (Bachelor Degree or Equivalent) in Business, Law, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or similar.
Other Knowledge, skills and experience
- Enthusiastic proactive attitude
- Excellent communication skills, written, oral and presentation
- Ability to create a strong network both within and outside of supply chain department
- Adaptability and problem solving skills
- Planning and organisational skills
- Must have the right to work in UK
