Manufacturing Operations Manager Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite Salary Range: $93,590–$113,833 annually

This position is ideal for an experienced operations leader who enjoys developing teams, optimizing manufacturing performance, and creating a culture centered on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting operational goals while ensuring products are produced efficiently and to the highest standards.
About the Position The Manufacturing Operations Manager will provide leadership for day-to-day production activities, partnering with supervisors and cross-functional departments to maintain operational excellence. This role requires a hands-on leader capable of balancing people development, process improvement, and performance management in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Production Leadership
- Direct manufacturing activities to ensure production schedules and operational targets are achieved
- Oversee workflow across multiple shifts and departments
- Promote efficient utilization of labor, equipment, and resources
- Support production planning efforts to maximize output and customer satisfaction
Safety & Quality Excellence
- Champion workplace safety initiatives and reinforce compliance with company policies
- Promote a culture where product quality and food safety remain top priorities
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal quality standards
- Partner with quality teams to address issues and implement preventive measures
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and operational performance
- Lead process improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste and increasing throughput
- Utilize performance metrics to evaluate results and drive decision-making
- Support implementation of Lean principles and best manufacturing practices
Team Development
- Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and production personnel
- Foster accountability, engagement, and professional growth across the workforce
- Assist with workforce planning, staffing needs, and employee performance management
- Build a positive, collaborative environment focused on operational success
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime
- Coordinate with supply chain, quality, and operational departments to support production goals
- Help resolve operational challenges through effective communication and problem-solving
- Participate in strategic initiatives designed to enhance facility performance
Qualifications Successful candidates will typically bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Food Science, Manufacturing, or a related discipline preferred
- 5 or more years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in food production or consumer packaged goods manufacturing strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, and operational excellence principles
- Understanding of GMPs, food safety programs, sanitation requirements, and regulatory compliance
- Experience managing production teams across multiple shifts
- Strong analytical, leadership, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into action plans
