Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a fulltime Registered Dietitian to join our nutrition team at Covenant Health - Morristown Hamblen Hospital. This 167-bed Acute Care facility is located in Morristown , which is 48 miles northeast of Knoxville, TN. We welcome both new graduates and experience dietitians to apply!

What You'll Do

  • Provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units and outpatient oncology;
  • Stay up-to-date with evidenced based practice regarding the management of acute and chronic conditions;
  • Works weekend rotation (one weekend day per month) providing hospital wide coverage;
  • Perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays;
  • Educate health care team members, including physicians and nurses;
  • Precept Dietetic interns
  • Assist with Food Service Management as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hireCertification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
