Salary: $70,000-$90,000

Schedule: Monday through Friday 9am-5pm with some flexibilty. Hyrbid position requiring 1-3 days in-office per week.

The Enterprise Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing enterprise-wide strategic and operational initiatives that support the organization's mission, business objectives, and long-term strategic priorities.

This position is accountable for managing one major enterprise project at a time through the full project lifecycle—from initiation through implementation and project closure—ensuring focused leadership, stakeholder engagement, organizational alignment, and successful outcomes before transitioning to the next assigned enterprise initiative.

The Enterprise Project Manager partners with executive leadership, business stakeholders, Information Technology, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects involving process improvement, organizational transformation, operational excellence, and strategic execution. For initiatives with technology components, the position serves as a liaison to Information Technology project managers and technical teams to support coordination, communication, stakeholder readiness, and alignment with business needs. The position serves as a key contributor to project governance, change management, and strategic execution across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead one enterprise-scale strategic or operational project at a time through all phases of the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, implementation, and closure.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, communication plans, and status reports.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, success criteria, and governance structures and performance metrics.
  • Manage project timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements.
  • Facilitate project steering committees, stakeholder meetings, and project work groups.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and change requests.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, business requirements, and organizational objectives.
  • Coordinate project resources across business, operational, and technical teams.
  • Drive decision-making, issue resolution, and escalation management.
  • Conduct project closure activities, including implementation reviews, lessons learned, documentation, and operational transition planning.
  • Serve as a business-side liaison to Information Technology project managers for enterprise initiatives with technology components, helping coordinate requirements, timelines, communications, stakeholder readiness, and operational impacts.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology teams, vendors, consultants, and business leaders to ensure project plans reflect business requirements, operational needs, and key technology-related dependencies when applicable.
  • Support requirements gathering, business process analysis, solution review discussions, user readiness, training coordination, and implementation planning for assigned enterprise projects.
  • Coordinate with IT project managers to track technology-related dependencies, readiness activities, testing impacts, implementation timing, and post-implementation operational needs when applicable.
  • Maintain sufficient understanding of technology-related project dependencies to support effective coordination, communication, and escalation with IT project managers and business stakeholders.
  • Communicate project information clearly to stakeholders and executive leadership, including business impacts, decisions needed, risks, and dependencies.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security, privacy, regulatory, and governance standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with executive sponsors, department leaders, project stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Establish clear communication channels and provide timely project updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate alignment across competing priorities.
  • Lead organizational change management efforts to ensure readiness, adoption, sustainability, and successful transition of new systems, processes, and organizational structures.
  • Develop communication, training, and user adoption strategies to support project success.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets and resource plans.
  • Ensure effective stewardship of organizational resources and project expenditures.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, statements of work, contracts, deliverables, and implementation activities when applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, Healthcare Administration, organizational leadership, public administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in project management, program management, enterprise operations, or organizational transformation initiatives.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience leading complex enterprise projects involving multiple departments, stakeholders, and business functions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing operational transformation, process improvement, organizational change, or enterprise-wide business initiatives required.
  • Experience collaborating with Information Technology project managers or technical teams on enterprise initiatives with technology components preferred.
  • Experience within the Massachusetts Health and Human Services system strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid approaches.
  • Experience managing organizational change management and user adoption initiatives.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, resource planning, vendor management, and project governance practices.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management skills.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to navigate organizational complexity and lead teams through change.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
