Job Description

As a Security Officer Badge Control in Savannah, GA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Monitor entrances, gates, badges, credentials, and visitor logs to help support authorized access to the location and report unusual activity or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, and restricted locations, with awareness that working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Support security-related operations at an industrial chemical location by observing vehicle movement, verifying deliveries and/or pickups, and following post orders for restricted and controlled areas.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
