Amana Healthcare is seeking a dedicated General Practitioner / Hospitalist to provide high-quality, patient-centered care within a post-acute and long-term care setting. The role focuses on managing inpatient medical needs, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and ensuring continuity of treatment aligned with international best practices and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to admitted patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management.
- Act as the primary physician for assigned patients, ensuring continuity and coordination of care across disciplines.
- Collaborate closely with nursing, rehabilitation, and allied health teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and ensure timely documentation of clinical updates.
- Respond to acute medical issues, emergencies, and deteriorating patients within the facility.
- Facilitate appropriate referrals to specialists when required and ensure follow-up on consultations.Support discharge planning and transition of care to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Adhere to all clinical governance, regulatory, and accreditation standards (DOH/DHA), maintaining the highest level of professional practice.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and multidisciplinary case discussions.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Valid UAE license (DOH/DHA) or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Minimum 3–5 years of post-internship clinical experience, preferably in hospital, rehabilitation, or long-term care settings.
- Experience in managing complex, chronic, and post-acute cases is highly preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment with the ability to manage a broad range of medical conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development.
