Overview
The Squires Group is seeking a Senior Data Architect to support a high-profile federal client in Washington, DC. This role will be responsible for designing, modernizing, and optimizing enterprise data platforms, data pipelines, and analytics capabilities that support critical research, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on data architecture professional with extensive experience designing scalable data solutions, building modern ETL/ELT frameworks, and implementing enterprise data management strategies in cloud and hybrid environments.
This role is onsite in Washington, DC . Per our client contract, candidates must be US Citizens.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data architectures, data models, and enterprise data solutions.
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, data integration processes, and cloud-based data platforms.
- Ensure data quality, security, governance, and performance across databases and analytics environments.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to deliver data solutions that support reporting, analytics, and decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or database development.
- Strong expertise with SQL, relational databases, and data modeling.
- Experience developing ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and large-scale data platforms.
- Proficiency with Python and data engineering tools and frameworks.
- Experience with cloud technologies, workflow orchestration tools, and source control platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Per our client contract, candidates must be US Citizens
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS, Azure, Snowflake, data lakes, or enterprise data warehouses.
- Knowledge of DataOps, CI/CD, CDC methodologies, and machine learning concepts.
- Experience with NoSQL databases, cloud migrations, and research, financial, or economic data environments.
- W2 Hourly rate: $90 - 105. Pay rates are based on years experience, qualifications, and location, and are subject to change at any time.
