Overview
Oversee all activity on a specific level or gate as assigned regarding Usher, Assistant Chief Ushers, Ticket Takers, and Guests. This position may be moved between seating bowl and gates depending on staffing needs for game. This position will need to be available for weekday games as well as Saturday games.
Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to
Monitor and assist Ushers in their assigned sections
- Monitor that Ushers are performing job responsibilities correctly such as seating guests, monitoring their sections, going to front of section between innings and breaks in play, and monitoring break schedule, among other duties as assigned
- At the gates, monitor that there is an even flow of patrons coming through gates, assist Ticket Takers having problems with scanners, and verify that scanners are working properly
- Assist and intervene when Ushers have encounters with guests relative to ballpark policies and ticket issues. Enlist the assistance of an Usher Supervisor, when needed, and brief the Supervisor on those situations
- Respond promptly and make decisions on any type of crises on respected lever or gate, such as a medical problem, guest struck by foul ball or bat and fan altercations. Brief the Usher Supervisor on any issues
- Responsible for precise and accurate information relayed to Medical staff, Milwaukee Police Department, and supervisors regarding incidents
- Chief Ushers report directly to Level Supervisors or the Gate Supervisor on game day
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations and respond promptly to customer needs and/or requests for service/assistance
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to stand for up to four (4) hours at a time
- Willing to learn and use programs on your computer and/or mobile phone to submit availability and complete necessary employment training
