Overview

Position Summary: The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment by washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment. This position supports kitchen operations by ensuring all items are cleaned and available for use, while assisting with general cleaning duties and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards. The Dishwasher works as part of the food and beverage team to help ensure efficient kitchen operations and an excellent dining experience for guests.

  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans.
  • Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in appropriate storage areas.
  • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
  • Clean or prepare various foods for cooking or serving.
  • Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
  • Set up banquet tables.
  • Sweep or scrub floors.
  • Clean garbage cans.
  • Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
  • Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Receive and store supplies.
  • Prepare and package individual place settings.
  • Load or unload trucks that deliver or pick up food or supplies.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • One (1) year of restaurant experience required, country club or event kitchen preferred.

Requirements

  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and member / client service skills.
  • Ability to absorb information quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate proactive behavior; especially with issues concerning safety, health, and customer needs.
  • Approachable and warm demeanor.
  • High energy level with sense of urgency.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position with flexible days and hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Environmental Factors/Physical Demands

  • Work is performed in a restaurant environment both indoors and outdoors.
  • Maintain active employee communication.
  • Subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, and stooping.
  • Subject to moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 40 pounds with assistance and objects in excess of 50 pounds.
  • Stand and walks for an extended period.
