Nurse Extern

The Nurse Extern program offers senior nursing students a 12-month program in which the Extern will be immersed in the role of a professional nurse. Externs will work side-by-side with a registered nurse providing hands-on patient care and developing clinical reasoning skills necessary for quality patient care delivery. This externship will provide opportunities in a variety of clinical specialties and with a diverse patient population. These areas include critical care, progressive/stepdown, emergency, obstetrics, pediatrics, and medical/surgical units. The Nurse Extern will be required to spend time in each of these clinical areas in a way that is flexible and works around their school schedule.

Please ensure that you upload your required two letters of recommendation from your nursing school institution AND your BLS certification in your application. Only applications including all required documents will be considered.

We will be collecting and reviewing applications and reach out in early May for interviews and next steps.
