Role Overview: Position Title : Sales Manager Job Specification: Sales Manager – Courses & Job Placement Location: Remote – UK, USA & International Markets Reporting to: Senior Leadership / CEO Employment Type: Full‑time Industry: IT Training, Career Change Programmes, Job Placement & Recruitment

We are seeking a high‑performing Sales Manager to lead and scale sales for Fortray’s Courses, Traineeships, and Job Placement programmes . This role is hands‑on and leadership‑driven , responsible for revenue growth, sales strategy, team management, partnerships, and conversion optimization across the UK and international markets (USA, Canada and EU)

The ideal candidate will have experience selling education, training, recruitment, or career services , with a strong understanding of consultative sales and outcome‑based offerings (job placement / job guarantee models) .

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth

Own and deliver sales targets for courses, traineeships, and job placement programmes.

Develop and execute B2C and B2B sales strategies aligned with Fortray’s career‑accelerator model.

Drive enrolments through inbound leads, outbound campaigns, partnerships, and referrals .

Monitor pipeline performance, conversion rates, and revenue forecasting.

Team Leadership & Performance

Build, manage, and mentor a high‑performing sales and admissions team .

Set clear KPIs, scripts, and sales playbooks aligned with compliance and ethical selling.

Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and training to improve close rates.

Ensure strong collaboration with marketing, admissions, placement, and recruitment teams .

Client & Candidate Advisory Sales

Lead consultative sales conversations with career switchers, professionals, and employers.

Clearly articulate Fortray’s training pathways, eligibility criteria, job placement terms, and outcomes .

Handle escalations, complex cases, and high‑value enrolments.

Ensure transparency and compliance with Fortray’s Job Placement and Career Change T&Cs .

Partnerships & Market Expansion

Develop partnerships with employers, recruiters, resellers, and referral partners .

Identify new markets, verticals, and programme opportunities.

Support enterprise and bulk enrolment deals where applicable.

Reporting & Optimisation

Track sales performance using CRM and dashboards.

Analyse lead sources, objections, and drop‑offs to improve sales effectiveness.

Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

Essential

Proven experience as a Sales Manager / Head of Sales / Admissions Manager .

Background in education, IT training, recruitment, staffing, or career services .

Strong experience managing sales teams and targets .

Excellent consultative selling and objection‑handling skills.

Experience selling high‑value programmes (£3k–£7k+) preferred.

Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

Experience with job placement, job guarantee, or outcome‑based programmes .

Knowledge of the UK tech job market and career‑change audience.

CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, or similar).

Exposure to international markets (UK, EU, North American/Canada).

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Monthly and quarterly revenue targets

Lead‑to‑enrolment conversion rates

Sales cycle efficiency
