About the Role: We are looking for a motivated and technically capable BI Analyst to join our growing data and analytics team. In this mid-level role, you will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable intelligence, building robust reporting solutions, and working closely with stakeholders across the business to support data-driven decision-making. You will bring a solid foundation in SQL, Power BI, and data modelling, and you thrive in environments where you can take ownership of analytical deliverables from end to end. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business stakeholder needs
- Translate complex business requirements into clear, visually effective data product
- Ensure all reports are accurate, documented, and refreshed on agreed schedules
- Write and optimise SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to support reporting and data pipelines
- Work with SQL Server (or equivalent) databases to develop and maintain data models
- Investigate and resolve data quality issues, ghost objects, and source discrepancies
- Engage with internal and client-facing stakeholders to gather and refine reporting requirements
- Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Support senior analysts and managers in delivering analytical projects on time
- Assist with ETL processes and data source migrations as required
- Follow and contribute to data governance standards and best practices
- Document data lineage, definitions, and model logic for team knowledge sharing
Skills & Requirements
- 1 - 3 years of experience in a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role
- Strong SQL skills — comfortable writing complex queries, CTEs, and views
- Hands-on Power BI experience including DAX, data modelling, and report publishing
- Ability to work with multiple data sources and understand data relationships
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Good to Have
- Experience with SQL Server, SSMS, or Azure Data Services
- Familiarity with Power Query (M language) and data transformation techniques
- Exposure to Agile or project-based delivery environments
- Experience working with clients or in a client-facing business environment
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling
