Job description
Matrix Providers is hiring a Clinical Psychologist to join our team of talented professionals providing healthcare services to Military Service Members and their families at Naval Health Clinic - Quantico, Virginia.
- Employment Status: Full time
- Compensation: This is an hourly position. $70.00- 73.15/hr
- Schedule: Shifts will normally be scheduled for an 8.5 to 9 hour period, to include an uncompensated 30 to 60 minute lunch break between 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
- Current schedule: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Requirements
- Education: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD); Graduate from an American Psychology Association accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology; Internship/Residency: Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Experience: Must have 2 of last 3 years experience as a Clinical Psychologist.
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a
psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin
Islands
- Computer Skill Competency : Must demonstrate computer proficiency and competency as required by the contract, including, but not limited to, internet usage, computer operations, and applicable software applications. Required skills include proficiency with Military Health System (MHS) Genesis, Adobe, Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Publisher), secure messaging platforms, electronic health records (EHR) systems, MHS CarePoint, and the Physical Examination Processing Program (PEPP).
Job Summary
- Provide psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for individual and group patients.
- Conduct clinical interviews, psychological testing, and interpret results to support care planning.
- Deliver care for acute mental health crises, including suicidal/homicidal risk and psychosis.
- Establish DSM-based psychiatric diagnoses and develop treatment plans.
- Perform fitness-for-duty, suitability, and other occupational psychological evaluations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams to coordinate patient care and treatment planning.
- Provide therapy and behavioral health support for patients coping with medical conditions or injury.
- Respond to emergency psychiatric situations following established clinical protocols.
- Document evaluations, treatment, and clinical outcomes in accordance with required standards.
- Participate in case reviews, staff meetings, training, and continuous professional development.
