Job description

You’ll be leading our business on marketplaces -- Amazon, Flipkart, etc. These are a significant part of our business

Your primary KPIs would be revenue metrics across the e-commerce that we are present in. We repeat -- revenue growth is your primary KPI. Sustainably, of course :)

You’d be building, managing and mentoring the team to create a high-growth but sustainable engine for the business. This would need bold decisions to meet aggressive targets. You’d have significant autonomy and budgets to experiment across all aspects of digital marketing.

You’ll be overseeing our advertising, pricing, inventory, and logistics strategy for these channels. You’ll be deciding which SKUs to prioritize. You’ll also be balancing our ecommerce partners and be responsible for managing all aspects of the relationship including negotiating margins and contracts.

Skills / Experience

  • Proven experience managing and growing marketplace businesses on Amazon and Flipkart for a D2C, FMCG, or digital-first brand.
  • Hands-on ownership of marketplace sales performance, including revenue growth, profitability, and business planning.
  • Experience managing end-to-end P&L for online marketplaces, with a strong understanding of key business levers impacting sales, margins, and profitability.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling Amazon and/or Flipkart businesses through assortment expansion, pricing strategy, promotions, visibility, and operational excellence.
  • Strong understanding of marketplace analytics and reporting, including Sales Reports, Inventory Reports, Advertising Reports, Financial Reports, and Business Performance Dashboards.
  • Experience working closely with category managers, account managers, supply chain, finance, and marketing teams to drive business growth.
  • Good understanding of marketplace advertising, promotions, deal planning, and ROI optimization.
  • Ability to forecast demand, manage inventory health, improve fill rates, and minimize stock-outs.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving priorities and ambiguity.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from data and translate them into actionable growth plans.
  • Experience in FMCG, food, nutrition, health & wellness, or consumer brands will be preferred.
  • Passionate about building and scaling brands through online marketplaces.

Good to Have

Someone who has a strong interest, good taste, and spends time following branding-related aspects of communication. Eg: Copy, Aesthetics, Positioning etc.

Degree from a T1 college (IIT/IIM/BITS/Ivy League).

Brownie points to those with an interest in fitness and enjoys clean-eating!
