Systems Administrator
Job description
Job Summary The Systems Administrator's primary job function is to exercise independent professional judgment in relation to the support and administration of the corporate data center infrastructure and associated software. The position develops and enacts procedures to perform problem analysis and resolution and plans for and responds to service outages and other problems.
Essential Functions: These functions are fundamental to the role and must be performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Provides Tier 1-3 support for technical issues related to hardware, software, infrastructure, user accounts, and access controls.
- Administers Active Directory (AD), Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and Entra ID to manage identity, access, and SSO across hybrid environments.
- Manages Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Intune endpoint configurations.
- Assists with or leads provisioning and deprovisioning of user accounts in AD, Microsoft 365, and business systems.
- Supports onboarding and offboarding processes including equipment setup, permissions, and inventory logging.
- Oversees or assists with imaging, deploying, and maintaining desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Administers Windows Server and virtual environments (VMware), ensuring uptime and performance.
- Manages patching, vulnerability remediation, and antivirus agent deployment across servers and endpoints.
- Participates in project planning and execution for IT initiatives, application upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
- Maintains server/storage documentation, configuration records, and system diagrams.
- Manages disaster recovery testing, backup administration, and lifecycle imaging solutions.
- Monitors systems and alerts; documents and escalates issues appropriately.
- Develops and maintains SOPs, KB articles, and documentation related to recurring support issues.
- Collaborates with vendors and external support on troubleshooting and implementation efforts.
- Works closely with the IT Service Desk to reduce repeat issues by addressing root causes.
- Mentors and trains other IT staff in standard operating procedures and best practices.
- Provides guidance to Service Desk and cross-functional IT staff to elevate technical knowledge and operational consistency.

Qualifications
Education
- Systems Administrator: Associates Degree in Computer Technology Systems, Business Computer Technology, Business, or relevant field.
- Systems Administrator: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Experience or Certifications may be substituted for education.
Certification/Licensure
- Current Washington State Driver's License and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage.
- System Administrator: CompTIA Network+, Security+, or equivalent *Preferred, Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Associate (or equivalent) *Preferred, VMware Certified Associate or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals *Preferred
- Systems Administrator - Certifications (Preferred)
- ITIL 4.0
- MS-900 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals
- AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
- VMware Certified Professional: Data Center Virtualization
Experience
- Systems Administrator: 1+ years System Administration, Network Administration, Application Support, Service Desk, or other IT Operations & Support roles, including virtual infrastructure and Microsoft 365 platform administration. Equivalent combination of education and experience

Extended Illness Bank (EIB)

PTO hours in excess of 320 will transfer into EIB. Employees are eligible to use EIB hours after at least 3 consecutive scheduled working days of PTO (max 24 hours) which have been used for a personal illness and/or a qualifying event under FMLA or the WA Family Care Act.

Holidays are based on an 8-hour day. Providers will receive a holiday pool of 64 hours as a 1.0 FTE at the beginning of each calendar year. Holiday pool hours must be used by December 31 of each calendar year; unused holiday pool hours will be forfeited. If an employee starts after the calendar year has begun, holiday hours will be prorated based on remaining holidays in the calendar year.

Tuition Reimbursement
