Black Pearl has been exclusively retained by a major Academic Medical Center in the GCC to recruit a highly accomplished Nursing Director for a newly established, world-class Cancer Center. This is a confidential search targeted at senior nursing leaders from leading oncology institutions worldwide. This cancer center is positioned to become one of the region’s top oncology facilities, supported by international partners in the US and UK, with a senior leadership team that includes world-renowned oncologists and technical experts. Their vision is to build a center with best-in-class: Cancer care pathways Sub-specialized oncology services Chemo / heme / radiology / infusion programs Global-standard nursing excellence Advanced technologies and research platforms Role Summary The Nursing Director will play a strategic and operational leadership role to shape, commission, and operationalize the nursing function of the new oncology center. This role requires a seasoned oncology nursing leader who has worked in top-tier academic cancer hospitals, has experience leading large nursing teams (200+ nurses), and has contributed to commissioning or transforming specialized cancer programs. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee the development, commissioning, and operational readiness of the Cancer Nursing Directorate. Build and develop oncology nursing teams; mentor, coach, and uplift nursing capability. Create policies, pathways, procedures, and education programs aligned with global cancer-care standards. Collaborate closely with the Chair of Oncology (US), Director of Oncology (UK), and hospital's senior leadership. Drive transformation, patient safety, evidence-based practice, and a culture of excellence. Contribute to research initiatives, multidisciplinary programs, and continuous improvement. Lead with emotional intelligence energize teams, engage staff, and merge Companies Health culture with the new Cancer Center. Make fair, balanced decisions and champion a supportive environment Requirements Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing (Master’s preferred). Minimum 10+ years of experience in the Oncology Department, including leadership roles. Experience in commissioning oncology units and managing departmental operations. Strong knowledge of oncology nursing practices, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements. Demonstrated experience in staff development, mentoring, and leading interdisciplinary teams.
