Job description

Bargaining Unit : Non Represented - Director

Rate of Pay : $168,646 annually + DOE

Summary Responsible for the operational leadership, performance, and integration of Clinic Services across ambulatory clinics and programs. Ensures effective execution of organizational strategy through standardized operations, strong financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient care and service. Partners with medical directors and executive leadership to implement service line priorities, optimize performance, and achieve organizational goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Execution

• Provides leadership and oversight of day-to-day clinic operations across multiple locations and service lines.

  • Partners with service line Medical Directors in a Dyadic collaborative to assist in development of service line strategy.
  • Translates organizational and service line strategies into actionable operational plans.
  • Ensures consistent implementation of standardized clinical and operational workflows.
  • Leads operational improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, access, and patient flow.
  • Oversees clinic integrations, transitions, and practice optimization.

Staffing & Workforce Leadership

• Oversees staffing models and resource allocation in alignment with patient demand and budget targets.

• Directs clinic leadership in recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts.

• Provides guidance and escalation support for employee relations, performance management, and corrective actions.

• Ensures adherence to scheduling, timekeeping, and labor management standards.

• Promotes a culture aligned with organizational values and Just Culture principles.

Performance Management & Accountability

• Establishes and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) across access, quality, finance, and patient experience.

• Holds clinic leadership accountable for achieving performance targets.

• Uses data to identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions.

• Drives a culture of continuous improvement and operational discipline.

Financial & Revenue Cycle Oversigh t

• Develops and manages clinic operating budgets in partnership with finance.

• Monitors productivity, staffing ratios, and expenses to ensure financial targets are met.

• Identifies and implements opportunities to improve efficiency and financial performance.

  • Oversees front-end revenue cycle operations (e.g., scheduling, registration) in collaboration with centralized functions.

Quality, Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensures clinic operations comply with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

• Maintains survey readiness and supports accreditation activities.

• Leads implementation of policies, procedures, and clinical standards.

• Partners with quality and risk teams to support patient safety and performance improvement initiatives.

Patient Experience & Relations

• Promotes a culture of service excellence and patient-centered care.

• Provides oversight and escalation support for patient concerns and service recovery.

Care Coordination & System Integration

• Collaborates with providers and cross-functional teams to improve care coordination and access.

• Supports integration of clinic operations within the broader health system.

• Partners with IT and informatics to optimize workflows and effective use of the EMR.

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Leads, coaches, and develops clinic managers and supervisors.
  • Serves as a key operational liaison between clinics, providers, and system leadership.
  • Participates in committees and initiatives as assigned, representing clinic operations.

Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior.

Complies with System policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities Carries out supervisory responsibility in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Minimum Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 5 or more years relevant experience

Required Licenses/Certifications Valid Driver's License in good standing

Other Experience/Qualifications Required

  • 5+ years management experience in a hospital system or physician group based setting with multiple locations required.

Preferred

• Masters' in a related field

• Certificates in billing and/or coding
