Trial Support Specialist
Job description
JOB PURPOSE
Provide trial, hearing, and arbitration/mediation technical and logistical support to attorneys and legal teams. Provide basic trial graphics and PowerPoint assistance for trial teams. Assist with other firm AV needs as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide logistical and trial support to legal teams for trials, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations, including but not limited to, procuring and setting up remote trial workspace, and all equipment needed therein.
- Ability to learn and maintain a high level of proficiency in OnCue trial presentation software.
- Travel and setup for various case work including courtroom technology builds and war room setups in remote hotel spaces as needed.
- Assist with Multimedia projects including video production, live events, video editing, audio editing, and photography work within the firm.
- Work with the team on any A/V projects needed throughout the firm, including updating and troubleshooting conference room technology, and installing new technology as needed.
- Design and create demonstrative exhibits and PowerPoint presentations.
- Coordinate and facilitate the use of outside vendors for graphics support.
- Effectively communicate with professional staff, court staff, and opposing counsel.
- Maintain and cultivate vendor relations.
- Travel and overtime will be expected as casework demands (up to 50%).
- Regular attendance and punctuality required (with some remote flexibility).
- Prioritize and meet timely deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE OR SKILLS REQUIRED
- Prior experience in the legal field as a paralegal or other position.
- Available to travel and spend extended periods in trials or arbitrations.
- Expertise in OnCue trial presentation software (prior experience preferred, training provided).
- Strong understanding in Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe PDF.
- Strong Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on PowerPoint.
- Ability to interact in a positive and professional manner with internal and external clients.
- Ability to maintain flexible schedule with minimal project supervision daily.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and invoice payment histories.
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn new software systems.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize assignments according to timelines and importance of task.
- Ability to multitask and handle numerous assignments, timelines, and people daily, seeing assignments and tasks to resolution with minimal follow-up.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Assist in supporting all firm members with multimedia needs, video editing, website capturing, photography, graphics, AV training, and Power Point presentations.
- Assist with internal events and meetings as needed.
- Be a proactive member of the Trial Support and Multimedia team.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- College degree required. Preference to degrees in a legal related field such as paralegal.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF POSITION
Work is performed in a professional office environment and requires the following during the workday:
- Travel is required with availability to spend extended periods of time in trials and arbitrations.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time (working at a computer).
- Ability to move/traverse about inside the office intermittently throughout the day (attend meetings, access file cabinets, obtain supplies from supply room, etc.).
- Repetitive movement (i.e. heavy computer/keyboard use).
- Individual will interact regularly with others verbally, in-person, and via written communication.
- Will require occasional lifting of heavy items (40-60lbs) such as equipment cases and printers for trial and war room setups.
IN ADDITION TO THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OUTLINED ABOVE
- Individual in this position will provide additional assistance and support as directed by his/her supervisor.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $34.35 - $45.26 per hour, depending on experience. This is a non-exempt position eligible for overtime. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law.
