Industrial Engineer / Business Intelligence Analyst

Broadway Refrigeration is one of the Lower Mainland's leading commercial HVAC and mechanical contractors. We work on everything from hospitals and high-rise towers to data centres, schools, and large commercial construction projects.

As we continue to grow, we're creating a new position that will work directly with our executive team to improve how we analyze data, forecast workloads, automate reporting, and make better business decisions.

This isn't a traditional engineering role. You'll spend your time asking questions, finding answers, and helping us build smarter systems.

What you'll do

• Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Develop KPI dashboards and management reports.
• Perform variance analysis and forecasting.
• Help improve labour planning and operational capacity.
• Design and improve business workflows.
• Automate reporting and repetitive processes.
• Build dashboards using Power BI.
• Create advanced Excel models.
• Explore practical AI solutions that improve productivity.
• Work closely with senior management to help drive business decisions.

About You

• This role is perfect for someone early in their career who's excited to learn.
• You're the type of person who enjoys digging into data until you understand the story behind it. You like asking "Why?" and aren't satisfied with the first answer.
• You're comfortable switching gears as priorities change and enjoy working on a variety of projects. One day you may be building a dashboard, the next you may be analyzing project performance or redesigning a workflow.
• You'll be working directly with senior leadership, so we're looking for someone who's confident, collaborative, and enjoys working with people across all levels of the organization.
• A sense of humour is important here. We work hard, but we genuinely enjoy what we do and like working with people who don't take themselves too seriously.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Operations Research, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Power Query, Pivot Tables, formulas, data analysis).
• Experience with Power BI.
• Interest in automation, AI tools, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Curious, organized, adaptable, and eager to learn.

Experience in construction is an asset, but not required.
