Job description

At Hart & Hickman, we're looking for an Environmental Consultant who's ready to step into a larger leadership role. With 5–10 years of experience, you've built a solid technical foundation and proven you can deliver. Now you're looking for a firm where your contributions are recognized, your ideas shape real decisions, and your path to leadership is real. At H&H, our mid-level consultants don't sit on the sidelines — they lead projects, build client relationships, mentor junior staff, and help drive the future of our firm.

What You'll Do

  • Manage environmental assessment and remediation projects from planning through completion
  • Collaborate with clients, regulators, and project teams to drive successful project outcomes
  • Develop technical strategies, budgets, schedules, and high-quality deliverables
  • Serve as a mentor and resource for junior staff
  • Build relationships with clients and contribute to project growth opportunities
  • · Identify ways to improve processes and support firm-wide initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • 5–10 years of environmental consulting experience
  • Strong experience with environmental site assessment and remediation, including:
  • Phase I and Phase II ESAs
  • Vapor intrusion assessment
  • NC Brownfields and voluntary cleanup programs
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies in North and South Carolina
  • Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • A collaborative mindset and a drive to keep growing professionally

Why H&H?

  • A clear path to senior leadership — our mid-level consultants take on real responsibility and advance based on contribution, not tenure
  • Direct visibility with company leadership and decision-makers
  • Diverse, technically challenging projects locally and nationally
  • A collaborative culture that values initiative, quality, and the people behind the work
  • Competitive compensation, performance bonuses, and comprehensive benefits

If you're looking for a place where you can continue to grow, take on greater responsibility, and help shape the future of a firm that's invested in its people, we'd love to talk.
