***This Full-Time entry level position offers a starting salary of $17.00/hour in addition to the Pressley Ridge Benefits plan.***

The Case Aide position offers a Monday- Friday work schedule with some flexibility, opportunities for optional overtime, and mileage reimbursement for work related/client travel.

Position Summary

The Case Aide works in a collaborative manner with Dauphin County Children & Youth to build a partnering relationship with families and others in the community to assure that the needs of children and their families are respectfully and adequately addressed. These needs could include transportation, liaising, supervision of children, drug testing, etc. This position requires local travel and flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule in a high-demand work situation. This is a great entry-level position with the opportunity for advancement.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Clinical and Support
  • Transports clients to/from psychological counseling/therapy sessions, medical/dental appointments, employment opportunities, to/from residential and foster placements, child/parent visitations any other location requested by CYF.
  • Delivers medical prescriptions, food bank orders, infant care items, vouchers, and standardized forms and documents.
  • Helps family to understand pertinent information and annotates for the family if necessary.
  • Supervises children and/or parents and reports any significant behaviors or conversations during emergency placements, sibling and family visits, and court proceedings.
  • Quality Improvement
  • Complies with Pressley Ridge standards.
  • Exemplifies the values of the program service model.
  • Communication
  • Collaborates with the consumer child, family and their natural support systems, internal and external stakeholders, program team members, program coordinator and organizational support staff and reports any concerns or progress to the caseworker and supervisor.
  • Supervision
  • Receives supervision.
  • Receives supervision from and actively communicates with supervisor on an ongoing basis throughout the week by phone, email, written message and when possible, in person regarding program matters.
  • Documentation
  • Completes all paperwork in a timely and professional manner.
  • Professional Development
  • Attends and participates in all required and other professional training.
  • Independently seeks out resources and learning opportunities to foster ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Education/Credentials/Licensure:
  • Requires a High School Diploma.
  • Requires valid state driver's license and vehicle insurance, registration and inspection.
  • Requires travel to client homes and throughout the community.
  • Requires reliable transportation and the ability to drive.
  • Experience:
  • One (1) year of supervised experience with children and/or families preferred.
  • Clearances Required by Applicable Regulations:
  • State Police
  • FBI
  • Child Abuse Clearances
  • Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training certificate and/or statement

Working Conditions

  • Physical Demands:
  • This position requires operating a keypad device 25% of the day and electronic/office equipment 25% of the day. Travel is required daily and works in weather conditions. Travel includes transporting students to and from school, school-based appointments, and/or field trips. Fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbows, legs and feet are all routinely used throughout the day. The lower and upper torso is used 75% of the day. Employees must meet minimum requirements for hearing, speech, and vision. Walking is required 50% of the day. Standing occurs 25% of the day. Sitting happens 25% of the day. Reaching above the shoulder as well as bending and twisting are performed 25% of the day. This function routinely lifts 15 pounds, 4 times per day. The maximum lift is 50 pounds, 1 time per day.
