Lyten Labs is seeking a professional Environmental Engineer.

As an Environmental Engineer you will supports all parts of the organization in achieving environmental compliance and reducing environmental impact. Responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining environmental management systems, ensuring compliance with permits, legislation, and sustainability goals. Acts as the environmental expert for the site, driving systematic environmental work and integration of environmental considerations into daily work and long-term strategy. 
 

Key Responsibilities 

Overall areas of responsibilities and activities 

  • Develop and maintain environmental management systems, policies, and procedures aligned with company values and legal requirements. 

  • Monitor and report compliance with permits, legislation, and internal standards. 

  • Ensure effective waste and chemical management and adherence to all applicable regulations. 

  • Lead the environmental monitoring program, including data collection, analysis, and authority reporting. 

  • Support environmental permitting, audits, and ISO 14001 implementation. 

  • Drive sustainability initiatives and integrate environmental considerations into design, production, and facility operations. 

  • Prepare documentation for audits, inspections, and external reporting. 

  • Provide expert guidance and training on environmental compliance and governance. 

  • Conduct environmental and waste walks, identify improvements, and promote awareness and accountability. 

  • Inform management and other teams on actions needed for compliance with permit or legal requirements. 

  • Participate in audits, meetings with authorities etc. 

  • Responsible for yearly reports to for example KEMI and SMP (Miljörapport) 

 

  

Requirements 

Educational background and previous experience required for the role 

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a relevant scientific field 

  • Minimum of 510 years of relevant experience in industrial or manufacturing environments. 

  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, standards, and best practices (ISO 14001, REACH, RoHS, etc.) 

  • Experience conducting environmental audits, impact assessments, and sustainability reporting 

  • Knowledge of tools such as iChemistry & Notisum is an advantage. 

 

Specific skills 

  • Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a requirement 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 

  • Passionate about integrating environmental responsibility into everyday operations. 

  • Ability to collaborate across teams and work independently 

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail 

  • Ability to work effectively in a high-profile and fast-paced international environment
