Job DescriptionArea Sales ManagerJob Summary:**
Piramal Pharma Limited is seeking an experienced and dynamic Area Sales Manager to drive sales growth, manage key accounts, and expand market share within a designated territory. This role involves leading a team, implementing sales strategies, and fostering strong customer relationships to achieve sales targets.
Job Responsibilities:**
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and objectives for the designated area.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Identify and cultivate strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and healthcare professionals within the territory.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and develop effective sales approaches.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closing deals.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of sales activities, forecasts, and market intelligence.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to optimize sales efforts.
- Implement and enforce company sales policies and procedures, ensuring ethical business practices.
- Conduct regular field visits to customers and sales team members to support sales activities and gather market insights.
- Participate in sales meetings, product launches, and industry events as required.
Job Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical sales, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market, product knowledge, and regulatory landscape.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and develop effective strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
- Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
