Job Description Summary
As a member of the GE Vernova Hydro Quality organization, the Quality Governance, Digital Transformation & Product Safety Leader is responsible for driving enterprise-wide quality governance, digital transformation, business performance management, and product safety across Hydro.This role provides strategic leadership for Quality Digital Strategy, KPI governance, Product Safety, Voice of Customer, Major Customer Events, Cost of Poor Quality, Margin Movement, and Monthly Operating Review processes. The role is accountable for establishing robust governance frameworks, ensuring data integrity and performance visibility, driving business insights, and enabling executive decision-making through quality analytics and digital solutions.
The leader works closely with executive leadership, regional stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, customer satisfaction, product safety, and continuous improvement while leading a global team supporting the organization's quality and business transformation objectives.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Regional RCA & Continuous Improvement Leadership
Serve as the regional focal point for RCA and Continuous Improvement across Europe, ensuring alignment with global quality strategy and governance.
Lead deployment and consistent application of standard RCA methodologies, tools, and problem-solving practices across projects, functions, and operational sites.
Facilitate and support complex root cause investigations for major non-conformities, recurring failures, customer concerns, and critical quality events.
Drive sustainable corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to reduce recurrence of quality issues and improve operational performance.
Monitor RCA effectiveness, closure of actions, and business impact through defined KPIs and governance mechanisms.
Quality Digital Strategy & Transformation
Lead the Quality Digital Strategy, including governance, roadmap development, deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement of Quality Suite, GridFusion, KeOps, Tableau, VOC platforms, and AI-enabled quality solutions.
Champion AI-enabled transformation initiatives within the Quality organization, identifying opportunities to improve productivity, analytics, automation, and decision-making.
Drive adoption of digital tools, analytics, and governance frameworks to improve business performance, operational rigor, and decision-making effectiveness.
Enterprise KPI & Performance Governance
Establish and govern the enterprise Quality KPI architecture, including KPI definition, baseline establishment, target deployment, reporting standards, and performance management across regions and functions.
Drive governance of Monthly Operating Reviews (MOR), ensuring consistency, accuracy, transparency, and executive visibility of quality and business performance metrics.
Own executive quality dashboards and business performance reporting across GEV L0, L1, and L2 leadership levels.
Business Performance & Risk Governance
Own governance and performance management of Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ), Margin Movement, Major Customer Events (MCE), Voice of Customer (VOC), and Net Promoter Score (NPS) processes.
Ensure alignment of quality governance processes with GE Vernova policies, compliance requirements, customer expectations, and business objectives.
Promote integration of Lessons Learned, Voice of Customer, Product Safety, and quality intelligence into business decision-making and continuous improvement activities.
Product Safety Governance
Lead Product Safety governance, including performance monitoring, risk visibility, escalation management, corrective action tracking, and leadership reporting.
Data, Analytics & Governance Frameworks
Develop and sustain enterprise-wide data governance standards to ensure reporting integrity, KPI consistency, data accuracy, and effective dashboard adoption.
Drive enterprise-wide analytics discipline to support business insights, performance tracking, and strategic decision-making.
RCA, Quality Systems & Continuous Improvement Oversight
Provide strategic oversight of RCA, NCM, PSR, Lessons Learned, and associated quality processes to ensure effective deployment, governance, and sustained business impact.
Facilitate cross-functional governance forums, operating reviews, and leadership discussions to drive accountability, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
Leadership, Stakeholder Engagement & Team Management
Partner with executive leadership and regional stakeholders to translate business priorities into measurable quality and operational performance outcomes.
Lead, coach, and develop a global team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships across functions, regions, and leadership levels to support strategic initiatives and organizational objectives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Management, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in Quality, Quality Governance, Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Digital Transformation, Product Safety, Manufacturing, Engineering, or Project Quality environments.
Proven experience in leading enterprise-wide governance, quality transformation, performance management systems, or executive reporting frameworks.
Strong expertise in Quality Management Systems (QMS), ISO 9001, RCA, CAPA, Non-Conformity Management, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Strong experience in Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) analysis, margin movement drivers, cost visibility, and linking quality performance to financial and business impact.
Proficiency in digital quality platforms, business intelligence tools, KPI governance, dashboards, and data governance frameworks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability to identify trends, systemic issues, risk patterns, and financial/operational impact from quality data.
Demonstrated people leadership, stakeholder management, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration experience in a global matrix environment.
Strong executive communication and presentation skills in English, with preferred certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, ISO 9001 Lead/Internal Auditor, or Project Management.
