Starting pay rate $48.51/hr (non-negotiable)
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Under general supervision, performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical (motors and sequential controls), electronic (inverters and radio controlled cranes), and electro-mechanical (circuit breakers and motor operated valves (MOVs)) equipment from 125VDC to 25KVAC for the continuous operation and/or refueling.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Tests, modifies, repairs, and maintains protective relaying, meters, control devices, plant instrumentation, electronic equipment and MOVs
- Uses advanced diagnostic equipment to trend, test, adjust, and repair relays, meters, electronic equipment, Reactor Control Rod drive systems and MOVs
- Develops written performance and troubleshooting plans to analyze malfunctions to electrical and control equipment to determine and repair root causes or failures.
- Prepares and recommends improvements to schematics, equipment, test devices and systems to improve performance and reliability.
- Utilizes Technical Specifications and Nuclear Program Directives to develop, review, and perform maintenance, surveillance test and functional test procedures.
- Participates in the Emergency Response Plan
- Communicates with technicians and multi-discipline crafts to perform maintenance and troubleshooting
- Performs tasks inside Radiologically Controlled areas
- Attends continuing training to maintain proficiency and qualifications in accordance with ANSI and INPO Standards
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must meet ANSI requirements.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Over four years experience with power plant electrical equipment or equivalent post high school education/training and experience.
- Other:
- 1. Satisfactory completion of the Technicians Occupations Selection System Test.
- 2. Must meet requirements of NRC psychological testing regulations.
- 3. Must frequently work at heights, work alternating shifts, overtime; including weekends and on short notice.
