Job description
About AoPS Academy
AoPS Academy is part of Art of Problem Solving (AoPS), a global leader in advanced K–12 math education. Since 1993, AoPS has helped discover, inspire, and train the next generation of great problem solvers - students who are excited by challenges, motivated to stretch their thinking, and eager to dive deep into complex ideas.
AoPS Academy brings the AoPS methodology to small, live, physical and virtual classrooms. We offer a world-class curriculum in math, science, and language arts for students in grades 1-12, seeking to build an environment where exploration meets challenge right in your local neighborhood. Students learn in small classes led by accomplished instructors and collaborate with a peer group who share their passion for learning. We have opened 20+ centers across the nation since 2016 and are still growing!
We focus on reasoning, creativity, rigorous problem-solving, and joyful intellectual challenge. Many of our students go on to excel in math Olympiads and other high-level competitions, but above all, they learn to think deeply and independently.
If you’re passionate about academically ambitious learners and believe students rise to the level of challenge they’re given, you’ll feel right at home here.

Language Arts 5: Students delve into unsolved mysteries. They analyze existing research, learn to identify credible sources, extract clues from primary sources, and develop their own theories. They adopt roles such as investigator, public defender, subject-matter expert, and mystery writer. By the end of this language arts course, students will have honed their research and argumentative skills through the development of a piece of high-level work – whether an informative essay or narrative fiction – that is clear and compelling.

They will develop their public speaking, critical thinking, written composition, and analytical reading skills through engaging projects that push them to apply their technical masteries to real-world problem-solving scenarios.
Language Arts 7: Students become masters of rhetorical analysis and persuasion. By the end of the year, students will have influenced a controversial local government decision, pitched a Super Bowl commercial, solved a mystery through rational evidence-building, and negotiated a plan for sharing a limited global resource. By tackling these challenging projects, students develop a deep understanding of how they can wield the tools of rhetoric to persuade others — and how they can recognize the rhetorical strategies at work in the world around them.
