Laundry Attendant
Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Laundry Attendant to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Laundry Attendant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of linens for our establishment, ensuring guest satisfaction through your attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold various types of linens, including bedsheets, towels, and uniforms
- Operate industrial laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and pressing machines
- Inspect linens for stains, tears, or other damage, and treat accordingly
- Apply appropriate cleaning techniques based on fabric type and care instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry area
- Manage laundry inventory and report any shortages or issues to the supervisor
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines in the laundry facility
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean linens
- Handle guest requests for laundry services promptly and efficiently
- Maintain records of laundry processed and chemical usage
- Previous experience as a Laundry Attendant or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads
- Knowledge of fabric care, stain removal techniques, and proper handling of different textiles
- Familiarity with industrial laundry equipment and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic communication skills in English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
