Waiter / Waitress – Pool & Beach

Role Overview

As a Pool & Beach Waiter/Waitress at Banyan Tree Dubai, you are responsible for delivering exceptional, intuitive service in an outdoor luxury leisure environment. You will ensure guests enjoy a seamless, relaxed, and personalised experience while maintaining the highest standards of service, safety, and attention to detail.

You will be an ambassador of the Banyan Tree brand, combining warm hospitality with efficiency in a dynamic pool and beach setting.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience

• Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive poolside and beach service.
• Take and deliver food & beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Anticipate guest needs, including hydration, comfort, and shade preferences.
• Provide personalised service, building rapport with guests throughout their stay.
• Handle guest requests and feedback promptly and professionally.

Pool & Beach Service Operations

• Set up and maintain sunbeds, umbrellas, towels, and service stations according to brand standards.
• Ensure pool and beach areas are clean, organised, and visually presentable at all times.
• Monitor guest areas regularly to ensure timely service and guest comfort.
• Ensure proper coordination of orders with kitchen and bar teams.
• Assist with towel distribution and cabana service where applicable.

Food & Beverage Service

• Present menus, explain offerings, and confidently recommend items.
• Ensure accurate order taking and timely delivery of food and beverages.
• Maintain strong knowledge of menu items, allergens, and daily specials.
• Support upselling of beverages, refreshments, and in-room/poolside offerings.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all pool safety regulations and hygiene standards.
• Monitor guest safety and escalate concerns where necessary (e.g., heat exposure, safety risks).
• Maintain cleanliness of service equipment and surrounding areas.
• Follow all HACCP and food safety standards.

Teamwork & Coordination

• Work closely with kitchen, bar, and pool attendants to ensure smooth service flow.
• Support colleagues during peak periods and maintain team efficiency.
• Participate in daily briefings and follow operational instructions from supervisors.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a luxury hotel, beach club, or resort environment preferred.
• Experience in outdoor, high-volume service environments is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of food & beverage service standards.
• Excellent spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in outdoor, warm-weather conditions.
