Level 7 Dyslexia Specialist | South East London

📍 Location: South East London 🕒 Contract: Full-time or part-time opportunities available

Are you a qualified Level 7 Dyslexia Specialist looking to work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team where you can make a lasting difference in schools?

At Words First, you'll work directly within school communities across South East London, supporting children and young people with literacy difficulties through specialist assessment, intervention, consultation, and training. You'll be part of a team that believes every child deserves access to high-quality, evidence-informed support.

The Role

You'll work closely with schools to

  • Deliver specialist dyslexia and literacy assessments.
  • Plan and deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people.
  • Support teachers, SENCOs, and families with practical, targeted strategies.
  • Contribute to EHCP assessments and reviews where appropriate.
  • Advise on exam access arrangements.
  • Deliver training and build staff confidence in dyslexia-inclusive practice.
  • Help create inclusive learning environments where pupils can thrive.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who has

  • A Level 7 qualification in Dyslexia/Specific Learning Difficulties (Assessment and Intervention).
  • Experience working with children and young people in educational settings.
  • Excellent communication and consultation skills.
  • A collaborative approach and a passion for inclusive education.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with schools, families, and multidisciplinary colleagues.
