Graduate Software Consultant - Hybrid Working
Job description
Your mission The Role Working as part of our highly skilled consultancy team, you will deliver complex client projects that drive real business outcomes. This can include transformation programmes, technology modernisation and optimisation, and ways of working overhauls, alongside internal projects that strengthen our own capabilities. This is a diverse, fast-paced role that calls for broad technical knowledge, strong problem-solving, and the ability to pick up new skills quickly.
Responsibilities and Duties
Consulting Delivery
- Delivers billable consulting services focused on client outcomes.
- Establishes client requirements and sees them through from implementation to outcome realisation, contributing across the full project life cycle.
- Applies technical knowledge to solve challenging problems, building functional and solution-design skills through hands-on implementation.
- Contributes to internal activities that improve our processes, and undertakes research and experimentation into emerging technologies.
- As knowledge grows, supports pre-sales opportunities – such as delivering demos – to help win new business.
Communication and Client Relationships
- Demonstrates strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to ensure delivery excellence on client projects.
- Asks the right questions to understand what a client needs, and builds rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Develops client-relationship and expectation-management skills by working independently with clients.
- Communicates effectively with colleagues internally.
- Maintains a clear understanding of the business objectives behind the projects and programmes they are assigned to.
- Demonstrates influence towards positive outcomes, both internally and with clients.
Your profile Qualifications and Skills
Essential
Nice to have
Experience using at least two of the following programming languages; Java, JavaScript, Python, C, C#, C++, and Matlab
Experience of work management software (e.g., Atlassian, Monday.com, Asana)
A relevant and strong degree within a STEM based subject, 2:1 minimum.
Experience with DevOps or Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Jenkins)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deliver to strict deadlines.
An interest in AI and data, and how emerging technologies can be applied to solve client problems.
The passion to learn new skills and procedures in order to be an effective member of the team.
An awareness of stakeholder management and the commercial aspects of delivering consulting services.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to tackling unfamiliar challenges.
Exposure to cloud or DevOps concepts through study, side projects or internships.

Salary and Benefits: £30,000 - £35,000 Per Annum
