Outpatient Psychiatrist

Monte Nido Westchester

White Plains, NY

For more than 25 years, Monte Nido & Affiliates has delivered proven treatment for eating disorders. Our programs blend the personalized and medically sophisticated care for which we are known, with the latest research and strategies for those overcoming eating disorders. Our treatment setting is intimate with a high staff to client ratio, and an emphasis on individual therapy and highly individualized treatment.

We are seeking a Psychiatrist to work at our outpatient PHP in Westchester, White Plains, New York!

The Psychiatrist must be onsite once a week with patients ages 13+ (average patient age is 23). The hour are very flexible, about 12 hours/week, 50% patient care/50% administrative time - contract position.

Pay: $200-$250/hour

Responsibilities Include

  • Conduct initial Psychiatric evaluations and weekly follow-up sessions to include psychotropic medication management.
  • Maintain current and proper progress notes.
  • Collaborate with the full treatment team as needed and provide patient-specific input for Discharge Planning.
  • Communicate with referring providers and family members as appropriate.
  • Maintain compliance with all standards set by agencies with oversight of this facility.

Qualifications

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited program.
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in General/Adult Psychiatry at minimum; Completion of Child/Adolescent Fellowship preferred.
  • Active and unrestricted Medical License (or license-eligible).
  • Comfort working in both outpatient and inpatient settings is very helpful.
  • Must hold BLS/CPR prior to starting work; we can arrange training if needed.
