Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Geographic Discipline Leader to join our growing Construction Engineering & Inspection Discipline in Charlotte, NC!

This role is responsible for the technical, operational, and financial success of our CEI services. You will provide strategic direction for staff, projects, and client relationships while supporting business development, safety compliance, and project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties in support of the direction and vision of the overall discipline.
- Oversee, direct, and manage the work effort of assigned staff.
- Collaborate with other GDL’s within the region and with the Regional Discipline Leader.
- Responsible for productivity, profitability, client satisfaction and quality of work.
- Active involvement with marketing and business development.
- Responsible for proposal development, contract execution, billing and collection.
- Monitor work backlog and the sharing of work within the region and discipline.
- Actively involved in the cross selling of all company services.
- Review staff utilization regularly.
- Ensure compliance with and enforce company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Serve as a resource and technical assistance for project managers and staff on assigned projects and manage completion of projects regarding scope, schedule, quality, and budget.
- Coordinate and work closely with accounting/billing to develop and review project invoices to complete in a timely manner.
- Manage the financial aspects of assigned team(s) and monitor the performance of the business to meet or exceed revenue and/or profit goals.
- Assist with the quality control/quality assurance efforts on all assigned projects.
- Manage and address, as needed, the performance and devlopment of all assigned staff, conduct performance evaluations, and provide input for all raise and bonus discussions.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of related transportation construction inspection experience required.
- 7+ years of experience with preparing proposals, developing and tracking budgets, and the associated financial management skills required.
- Valid US Driver's License required.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering.
- Leadership skills and decisive decision making.
- Comfortable with using computers and adapting to software.
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors on a project site for extended periods of time.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
