This is a Temporary position
Our Director of the Emergency Department will be committed to performance improvement and service quality, and will contribute their talents to achieve individual, departmental, and hospital wide goals and objectives.
Our Director will
- Represent the Emergency Department at both the Hospital and System level as required
- Manage the daily operations of the Emergency Department
- Ensure the department functions according to established regulatory authorities, and will collaborate with other department heads to identify and solve problems in the best interest of patient treatment
- Mentor, supervise, and evaluate the team to reach their full potential and inspire continual professional growth
- Participate in managing budgets, resource allocation, and scheduling
- Regularly assess unit operations and identify process improvements to enhance the patient experience
What you’ll bring
- Passion for Emergency Nursing & Leadership
- 2-3+ Years Staff Registered Nurse (RN) experience working in the acute Emergency Department setting required
- 2-3+ Years Nursing Leadership/Management experience required
- Regulatory Knowledge
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing is required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree is required
- Will consider candidates who are completing a Master’s degree within 6 months of hire
- Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
- Preferred certifications: Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Certified Critical Care Registered (CCRN), Certified Nurse Executive (NE), or Nurse Executive Advanced Certification (NEA)
Salary Range
USD $170,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
