As our oncology portfolio continues to expand, we are looking for an experienced Medical leader who combines scientific excellence with strategic thinking, collaboration and business insight. Someone who enjoys working across functions, geographies and cultures to help shape the future of oncology. This is a highly visible International role, partnering closely with colleagues across our Global organization in the US and working with teams throughout Europe, Canada and Japan. Together, we bring the International perspective into critical decisions that influence development, evidence generation, regulatory strategy and launch readiness. Why this role matters The success of an innovative medicine is built long before launch. It is influenced by the quality of scientific evidence, the strength of external partnerships, the insights gathered from clinical practice and the ability to connect expertise across Development, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Market Access and Commercial. As a (Senior) Medical Director, you will help bring these elements together. You will represent the International Medical Affairs perspective within Global Program Teams, contribute to development strategies, strengthen evidence generation and build partnerships that help ensure our oncology portfolio delivers meaningful value for patients around the world. Working closely with Global colleagues in the US, you will help connect regional insights with global ambitions, ensuring International perspectives help inform key strategic decisions throughout the product lifecycle. What you will help shape As part of our International Medical Affairs team, you will: Represent International Medical Affairs within Global Program Teams, ensuring regional insights help inform global development strategies. Partner closely with colleagues across the US Global organization to align scientific priorities and support the successful development of oncology assets. Contribute to development, regulatory and evidence generation strategies across multiple stages of the product lifecycle. Build trusted relationships with internationally recognized oncology experts, scientific societies and external stakeholders. Translate medical insights into strategic recommendations that strengthen product development, launch readiness and lifecycle management. Lead or contribute to cross-regional medical initiatives spanning Europe, Canada and Japan. Drive scientific engagement through multiple channels, including expert meetings, advisory boards, congresses and digital engagement. Identify evidence gaps and collaborate across functions to develop strategies that address future scientific and clinical needs. Contribute to publication planning, investigator-sponsored research and International Medical studies that support scientific leadership. Partner effectively with Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, Medical Communications and affiliate teams to ensure aligned execution across International markets. Contributing to the continued evolution of Medical Affairs as a strategic partner throughout the product lifecycle. Who you are You are scientifically rigorous and strategically curious. You enjoy understanding complex scientific questions, but you are equally motivated by bringing people together, building consensus and helping teams make better decisions. You are comfortable working in a global, matrix environment where influence is built through credibility, collaboration and trust. You likely bring: An MD, PhD or Pharmacy degree with significant global Medical Affairs experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. Strong scientific expertise within oncology; experience in solid tumors is highly valued. Extended international network in Oncology is a plus. Experience collaborating with Key External Experts, scientific societies and international stakeholders. The ability to translate scientific evidence into practical strategic recommendations. Strong business acumen and an appreciation for how Medical Affairs contributes across the product lifecycle. Excellent communication and influencing skills across global, cross-functional organizations. A collaborative mindset, intellectual curiosity and the confidence to challenge ideas constructively.
