Job description

Overview

As our APAC business continues to grow, we are looking for a HR Generalist to support employees and managers across a broad range of day-to-day HR activities.

Partnering with HR Business Partners and a HR Generalist, this role covers employee relations, onboarding and offboarding, performance review processes, manager support and general HR operations.

This role suits someone who enjoys variety, brings a practical mindset, builds strong working relationships, and is ready to apply their HR experience in a growing, fast-paced business.

This role offers genuine breadth across employee relations, manager coaching, HR operations and project work within a growing APAC business.

You will bring your existing HR experience to a collaborative team, working alongside HR Business Partners and contributing to a business that is continuing to scale.

Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.

This role sits within a small collaborative HR team supporting the business across APAC.

You will work closely with experienced HR Business Partners, with the autonomy to manage your own work and clear support available on complex matters.

The ideal candidate is organized, practical and comfortable managing a varied generalist workload.

What you'll do

  • Provide practical guidance on routine ER matters, maintaining accurate documentation and partnering with senior HR stakeholders on more complex cases.
  • Guide employees and managers in applying company policies and procedures.
  • Apply working knowledge of the Fair Work Act 2009, National Employment Standards, and relevant modern awards.

HR Operations

  • Serve as a first point of contact for HR queries.
  • Assist with onboarding, induction and offboarding processes, including exit interviews.
  • Lead coordination of key HR activities, including performance review cycles.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, HR data and documentation.
  • Support WHS activities and return-to-work coordination.
  • Contribute to the annual WGEA submission.
  • Drive HR projects and process improvements.
  • Process ad-hoc employee requests.
  • Support HR communications.

What we're looking for

Experience and Knowledge

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in an HR Generalist or similar HR advisory role.
  • Experience in managing employee relations matters, including performance and conduct.
  • Working knowledge of Australian employment legislation.
  • Strong documentation and organisational skills.
  • Experience across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding.

How You Work

  • Proactive and accountable, with the confidence to manage your own workload.
  • Exercises sound judgement and know when to escalate.
  • Communicate professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Builds strong, trusted working relationships.
  • Manages competing priorities without losing attention to detail.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, with a pragmatic approach to identifying solutions and driving process improvements.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Experience in financial services, technology or another fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Exposure to HR activities across APAC.
  • A degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.

  • Our flat hierarchy enables you to drive meaningful impact, by leveraging your expertise and taking ownership.
  • Private healthcare and gym allowances, plus wellness initiatives.
