Department of Surgery seeks Trauma and Acute Care Surgery faculty – Duke Health

The Division of Trauma, Acute & Critical Care Surgery in the Department of Surgery at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, is now accepting applications for a full-time academic trauma surgeon. This position will be located at both Duke University Medical Center and Duke Raleigh Hospital

  • Successful candidates will be BC/BE in General Surgery with added certification in Surgical Critical Care. Fellowship training in trauma surgery or acute care surgery is mandatory. Selected candidates will be committed to research and training of residents and fellows in trauma, critical care and acute care surgery.
  • An interest in teaching or outcomes research is a plus. Academic appointments will be commensurate with the candidate's academic record.
  • Team spirit and the ability to interact with a multitude of specialists and subspecialists is essential.
